Alexandra Manglis is a Cypriot writer of SFF and creative non-fiction. In 2022 her story "Losing Count" was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize and she received a writer's residency at Hedgebrook as a non-fiction writer. She is an enthusiastic alumna of the Clarion West class of 2017 and holds a D.Phil in English from the University of Oxford. In 2019 Manglis co-edited 21|19: Contemporary Poets in the Nineteenth Century Archive (Milkweed, 2019) with Kristen Case, a collection of lyrical essays by contemporary North American poets on the subject of nineteenth-century literature. Her work has been generously funded by the Elizabeth George Foundation and the Susan C. Petrey Scholarship Fund. You can currently find her in Northampton, Massachusetts.
